Workshop: Yarn Dyeing – Self Striping Yarn

Having mastered the basics in the Introduction to Yarn Dyeing workshop, you will learn the advanced techniques of dyeing self-striping yarn. You will produce two skeins of self-striping yarn to take home using two different methods.

Two skeins of merino sock yarn are included in the price of this workshop.

Maximum 5 participants per workshop.

This is an intermediate-level workshop, and the basics of yarn dyeing are not covered in this workshop. If you are a complete beginner, we recommend you attend the Introduction to Yarn Dyeing workshop before attending this one.

Note that this workshop is only available to people who have previously attended a Peak District Yarns Introduction to Yarn Dyeing workshop.

The workshop usually runs from 1pm to 4.30pm and is held at the Peak District Yarns Studio and Workshop, Commercial Road, Tideswell, SK17 8NU.

Skill level:  Intermediate

As always with our workshops tea, coffee and biscuits are provided (let us know on booking of any dietary requirements).

All materials you will use during the workshop are included.  You may wish to bring a notebook for making notes.  We recommend that you wear old clothing and shoes or bring your own pinny – we will be messing around with colour, after all!

Tutors: Carrie Warr (Peak District Yarns) and Lisa Bates (AndKnit)

Age:  You have to be at least 14 years old to attend this workshop. Participants aged under 16 need to be accompanied by an adult, who must also to be booked onto the workshop.

Cancellations by us:
Workshops may be cancelled the week before if there are insufficient numbers to reasonably justify going ahead.  We will contact you as soon as possible if cancellation is likely.
If we regrettably have to cancel the workshop for any reason, you will receive a full refund or transfer to another workshop if feasible.  If we do cancel a workshop, we cannot be held liable for any travel or accommodation costs you incur.

Cancellations by you:
If we can fill your space with another student then you will receive a full refund for the cost of the workshop.  If we can’t fill your space with another student, then you will be charged for the workshop.  The less notice you give us of your cancellation, the less likely it is that your space can be resold – please bear this in mind.
