Come and learn a new skill in a relaxed atmosphere at the home of Peak District Yarns in Tideswell.  Workshops are held in a specially designed teaching space and all equipment and materials you need are provided.

Three different Yarn Dyeing workshops are currently available, taught by Carrie from Peak District Yarns:
–  Introduction to Yarn Dyeing (half-day)
–  Next Steps in Yarn Dyeing (half-day)
–  Dye Camp! (three days with optional extra day)

Two Sewing workshops are currently available, taught by the talented Debs from WizardMakes:
–  Absolute Beginners – Sewing (using a Sewing Machine) (full day)
–  Next Steps:  Sew a Scatter Cushion (full day)
–  Next Steps:  Sew a Pair of Pyjama Bottoms (full day)

Two Needlefelting workshops are available, taught by local artist Fiona Rogers:
–  Absolute Beginners – Needlefelting (half-day)
–  Needlefelting – Create a Mini-Me (full day)

Other crafty workshops are being planned.  Watch this space!

If you’d like to book a workshop, you can find them listed as products in the Shop area of the website here.  Alternatively, pop into the Peak District Yarns Studio when it is open on a Saturday to book your place.

Carrie is more than happy to run workshops for small groups if you can’t make the workshop dates shown. Just get in touch.  Note that due to work commitments, workshops at weekends are easier to schedule than week-day ones.

As always with our workshops tea, coffee and cake are provided (let us know on booking of any dietary requirements) and you’ll get 10% off any items purchased from the Peak District Yarns Studio on the day (except further class bookings).

Workshops are held at the Peak District Yarns Studio and Workshop, Commercial Road, Tideswell, SK17 8NU.  Some mapping software may show the Studio as the “Tideswell Dale Rock Shop” which was there previously. There is plenty of free on-street parking in the village.  Please do not park in the pub car park opposite if you’re attending a workshop.

Cancellations by us:

Workshops may be cancelled no less than a week before if there are insufficient numbers to reasonably justify going ahead.  We will contact you as soon as possible if cancellation is likely.

If we regrettably have to cancel Workshops for any reason, you will receive a full refund or transfer to another workshop if feasible.  If we do cancel, we cannot be held liable for any travel or accommodation costs you incur.

Cancellations by you:

If we can fill your spot with another student then you will receive a full refund for the cost of the workshop.  If we can’t fill your spot with another student, then you will be charged for the workshop.

The less notice you give us of your cancellation, the less likely it is that the ticket can be resold – please bear that in mind.
