Description
This yak/silk/merino 4-ply blend has to be my favourite yarn to work with. The high twist nature of the yarn gives a good stitch definition and the silk content gives the final garment a perfect drape with a subtle sheen. “Wardlow Welldressing” features shades of garnet, burnt orange, brown and teal with plenty of grey from the base yarn peeping through.
“Wardlow Welldressing” is part of the Peak District Yarns Welldressing range – which pays tribute to the Derbyshire tradition of Welldressings, where beautiful pictures are created from petals and foilage set into clay.
This colourway is created using a dye technique which randomly places the colours on the skein – so is less prone to pooling than other hand dyed yarns.
Hand wash only, and dry flat.
