Workshop: Next Steps in Yarn Dyeing

Having mastered the basics in the Introduction to Yarn Dyeing workshop, you will learn some more advanced techniques of dyeing yarn including dip dyeing and dyeing sock blanks.  You will learn about what can go wrong when hand-dyeing yarn and what you can do to avoid/fix mistakes.

Two skeins of yarn (choose either Merino DK or Merino Sock Yarn/Sock Blank) are included in the price of this workshop.

**Covid-19 update: Because of social distancing rules, the number of participants per workshop is currently limited to two to ensure the safety of everyone. [This may change if requirements for social distancing are relaxed in future]

Note that this workshop is only available to people who have previously attended a Peak District Yarns Introduction to Yarn Dyeing workshop.

The workshop runs from 1pm to 4pm and is held at the Peak District Yarns Studio and Workshop, Commercial Road, Tideswell, SK17 8NU.

As always with our workshops tea, coffee and biscuits/cake are provided (let us know on booking of any dietary requirements).

All materials you will use during the workshop are included.  You may wish to bring a notebook for making notes.  We recommend that you wear old clothing and shoes or bring your own pinny – we will be messing around with colour, after all!

Age:  You have to be at least 14 years old to attend this workshop. Participants aged under 16 need to be accompanied by an adult, who must also to be booked onto the workshop.

**Covid-19 update:  Anyone who has symptoms of Covid-19, or has been instructed to self-isolate, is respectfully asked not to attend the workshop. You will be able to transfer to another workshop date, or ask for a full refund.

Cancellations by us:
Workshops may be cancelled the week before if there are insufficient numbers to reasonably justify going ahead.  We will contact you as soon as possible if cancellation is likely.
If we regrettably have to cancel the workshop for any reason, you will receive a full refund or transfer to another workshop if feasible.  If we do cancel a workshop, we cannot be held liable for any travel or accommodation costs you incur.

Cancellations by you:
If we can fill your spot with another student then you will receive a full refund for the cost of the workshop.  If we can’t fill your spot with another student, then you will be charged for the workshop.  The less notice you give us of your cancellation, the less likely it is that the ticket can be resold – please bear this in mind.
