Workshop: Knitting – Mini-Sock workshop

£45.00

Have you always wanted to learn how to knit socks?  In this full-day workshop you will learn about the construction of a sock and learn the techniques involved in knitting socks from the cuff down.  This includes stretchy cast on, knitting in the round, turning the heel (it’s magic!), decreasing the gusset and toes, and grafting (also known as kitchener stitch).

You will put these techniques into practice at the workshop by creating a mini-sock.  You will also take away an adult-sized sock pattern for you apply your newly-learned skills after the workshop on a full sized sock, if you wish.

The workshop price includes all materials you need to create a mini sock including a set of double pointed needles, a mini skein of hand-dyed sock yarn and a pattern.
