The Crochet Project – Stop, Drop & Pop Shawl Pattern

From the talented Joanne Scrace from The Crochet Project, this shawl is designed to bring out the beauty of a hand dyed ‘mini rainbow’ skein.  It features a really easy, repetitive, no count pattern and works up really quickly as you will always want to do one more row to see how the pops are scattering. The finished shawl is surprisingly large for a 1 skein shawl and the shallow triangle shape makes it very wearable.

Description

From the talented Joanne Scrace from The Crochet Project, this shawl pattern is designed to bring out the beauty of a hand dyed ‘mini rainbow’ skein.  It features a really easy, repetitive, no count pattern and works up really quickly as you will always want to do one more row to see how the pops are scattering. The finished shawl is surprisingly large for a 1 skein shawl and the shallow triangle shape makes it very wearable.

If you don’t have a ‘mini rainbow’ skein this pattern would also work well with a variegated yarn which has one run of a specific colour you can “pop” with – this colour run needs to be around about 15cm/6in to make it work best.
